World of Warcraft Botting - WoW Botting Tips

WoW Bots aren't perfect, and they never will be. There are some things you can do however to make it a near perfect solution.

  1. Never be afk whilst boting. Wait, doesn't that defeat the purpose of botting? Not really. Just have the bot running whilst you're in the same room (or same vicinity at least). Bots should be used to eliminate grind, not to afk for a few days and come back to a lvl 70 with tons of gold.
  2. Only bot on lower level creatures. It's most definitely faster to play WoW manually as it's safer to attack higher level creatures, but there is no doubt you'd get bored just as quick. You're not doing any work, so bot on lower level creatures. It'll take a few hours longer to level maybe but it gives you the peace of mind that you won't be killed by creatures.
  3. Set alerts. Some World of Warcraft Bots let you set up alerts to a number of events, such as another player entering the area etc. These are incredibly useful, so if your bot has alerts use them! Just set the sound to something simple, but distinctive (you don't want to think its just the radio playing).
  4. Bot in moderation. Never try to go for more than one level per day once you get to higher levels. Obscene amounts of play time and leveling at lower level monsters is suspicious.
  5. Vary your play. Set up your bot at 10 different locations and rotate randomly between these. This'll allow you to collect different items/materials, but will also seem less strange to passers by.
